Hot Stamping Machine Operation
Modern Hot Stamping Machines require no tie down safety control to protect the operator from being injured by the machine.
This control system consist of the following:
  1. Palm Button Set
  2. True Dwell Switch
  3. Control with Dwell Timer
  4. Air Solenoid
  5. Head Cylinder
Sequence of operation
  1. Operator must engage both left and right Palm Button within .5 seconds.
  2. The Control sends a signal to the Air Solenoid which sends air to the Head Cylinder.  The head will start down.
  3. If the Operator removes their Hand from either Palm Button while the head is moving down the Control must stop the signal to the Air Solenoid causing the Head to retract back to it's up position.
  4. When the head gets to less than 1/4 inch from the part being stamped the True Dwell Switch should be engaged.
  5. When the True Dwell Switch is made the Dwell Timer Starts. If the Operator Removes either or both Hands from the Palm Buttons the Head will remain down until the Dwell Timer has reached it's set time.
  6. When the Dwell Timer reached it's set time the Control stops the signal to the Air Valve causing the Head to retract to it's up position.
  7. To start another machine cycle the Operator must remove both hands from the Palm Buttons then repeat step 1.
